Presence you can see. Reports you can prove.
Summit Force Security Group is a Sacramento-based licensed california ppo #122730 providing unarmed security officers and marked mobile patrol throughout Placer, Sacramento, Nevada, Solano & Alameda/Contra Costa Counties. We built the company around two ideas property managers kept asking for: officers who actually show up, and documentation that holds up.
Our team protects commercial buildings, apartment and HOA communities, construction sites, warehouses, parking structures, and private and corporate events — with the same standards on a Tuesday overnight as on a Saturday festival.

Daniel Mays
PPO #122730 · BSIS/DCA licensed
Daniel Mays has worked private security since 2015, standing posts at retail, grocery, warehouse and event sites across the Sacramento region. In 2020 he launched his first security company, and today he leads Summit Force Security Group from its Sacramento headquarters.
Coaching is one thing — the post is only as good as the person standing it. His officers are trained to be seen, be helpful and be accountable.
Off the clock, Daniel leads the company's community work: feeding the homeless and giving out small scholarships that put underprivileged youth through the 40-hour guard card course and training — turning a job that changed his life into a door for someone else.
“Coaching is one thing — but if we're in the community, we'd better be good to the community.”

Brandon Muse
Security Officer, Summit Force Security Group · PPO #122730 · Sacramento, CA
Brandon Muse serves as Operations Director and Executive Consultant for Summit Force Security Group, running day-to-day operations while still working active posts in the field. He is the officer cited by KCRA 3 for the on-duty observations that helped Citrus Heights police arrest two arson suspects, and quoted in TIME magazine on private-security standards.
His first-hand field experience — from de-escalating a stand-off outside a Roseville apartment to handling a rattlesnake on a Sierra College patrol — shapes the playbook every Summit Force officer is trained to before they stand a post.
Brandon keeps scheduling tight, supervisory checks honest, and clients reachable by phone. The standard Daniel sets on paper is the standard Brandon enforces on the ground.
“A post is only as strong as the officer standing it — so we stand it right.”

Questions we get every week
About Summit Force — common questions
- Who owns Summit Force Security Group?
- Daniel Mays is the founder and owner. He has worked in security since 2015, founded his first company in 2020, funds 40-hour BSIS guard-card scholarships, and runs local homeless outreach in Sacramento.
- Is Summit Force licensed and insured?
- Yes. We are registered in California as Summit Force Security Group, Private Security and operate under Private Patrol Operator license PPO #122730 through BSIS / the Department of Consumer Affairs, with general liability and workers' compensation coverage available to clients on request.
- How is Summit Force different from a national guard company?
- You get a Sacramento-based supervisor who walks your property, writes the post orders, and answers the phone at 2 a.m. — not a regional call center. Our officers are trained toward de-escalation and community-first conduct rather than confrontation, which is what keeps incidents from becoming liability.
- Has Summit Force been covered in the news?
- Yes. KCRA 3 reported an incident in Citrus Heights in which our officer Brandon Muse, on duty at a Costco post, provided police with suspect descriptions that led to the arrest of two arson suspects.
